OOTD #1 - DIY Studded Collar

I just thought I'd put up a more detailed post about my 'DIY studded collar' for those who want to try it out themselves, even if your just to be curious about studding for the first time or where I purchased the studs from. Its a quick and easy way to jazz up your outfit, cost are minimal and so are the tools you'll be using.

First of all I purchased my studs from JosyRose website they were £2.25 per 10 grams which works out roughly 55 studs, they have many different types to choose from which come in either gold or silver. I then looked through my clothes and chose which piece I wanted to stud, I ended up going with my red sheer shirt from Topshop which was brought quite a while back now so I'm not sure if its still available to buy, but the reason I chose it was because it had gold button detail which I thought would go really well with the studs and look a little more eye catching.

Once your studs have arrive you'll see they have a claw like back which is how they stay on the shirt and this where your tool comes in, a blunt kitchen knife. As you get an idea of where your going to place your studs weather it be the collar or the cuff of the sleeve or even a pocket, you poke the stud through the material and then carefully press each spike from the back down using your blunt kitchen knife and then your stud should stay firmly placed (even in the wash). Continue to repeat this until you have completed your look, and that is really all you need to do, depending on the surface area is weather it becomes quite time consuming however the end result is defiantly worth it.

So get studding girls,

Regal Rose 'Spiked Necklace'

Spike Necklace - Regal Rose, £15.00

If your looking for that statement necklace that gives your outfit an edge, that goes with almost anything and turns heads where ever you go, then look no further.

I purchased this 'spike necklace' about a month ago from Regal Rose website (listed below) after browsing on their for quiet a while I found this statement piece caught my eye the most. I knew adding this to my jewellery collection was a must and girls I weren't wrong. I've worn it so many times and I was surprised to find out just how many outfits it can be paired with. Its so versatile you can put an edge to a girlie/pretty outfit or just layer it over a simple blouse and jeans.. honestly you name it and this necklace will look amazing with it.

It's priced at £15.00 plus £2.75 UK delivery charge, which I didn't think was bad seen as how many times it's been out the box, and if you know me then you'll know I'm a sucker for 'cool/pretty' packaging and loved the fact it came in a box as its easier to store with the rest of my jewellery and its much easier to reach for.

Honestly this 'spiked necklace' turns so many head and i get lots of interesting questions about where its from and people compliment me saying they really like it, check out their website lots of different pieces on there and let me know what your favourites are!!

Soap & Glory - Body Butter

Soap & Glory Body Butter - Boots
250ml, £8.50
50ml, £2.50

Although this Soap & Glory product is labelled as a body butter, I personally found it works wonders as a primer for my face before applying my make up, at first I read it leaves a dewy finish as its meant for people with dry skin. However, I tried it anyway and I have an oily complexion but found it still works fine for me.

It comes in two different sizes, 250ml and 50ml.. I'm happy they include smaller sizes in some of their products because I brought the small tube which was good to just try it out, I had heard Soap & Glory were good products so I wanted to see if they were true to their reputation. I really liked this product so i decided to buy the bigger tube as it worked out better value for your money however, I did keep the smaller tube cause its handy to put into my bag or to travel around with, and then when the smaller tube runs out I just top it up with product from the bigger tube.

What I also love abut this body butter is that it lasts me absolutely ages and I mean I use it everyday without a doubt so I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't something I'd have to repurchase every month (but remember i'm only using it on my face). If your somebody like me that likes to smell the the product before actually buying as there isn't anything worst than find a good product but hating the smell, then you'll also love this.. it smells amazing!!

After discovering this product and finding out that it works so well with my skin I find it hard to try anything else as I don't think it will live up to Soap & Glory's body butter, I've been using it for just over 7 months now and it really has made a difference to my skin and I honestly recommend it to everybody.

Red/Orange wedges

Red/Orange Wedges - River Island, £50

I purchased these beauts yesterday when I went shopping with my mum in our local town centre.. I've had my eye on these ever since I see them on RiverIsland website about 3 weeks ago and then when I see them staring me in the eye from the shelf I knew I had to have them, and the fact they actually had a size that fitted I knew I wasn't walking out the shop without them.

They are so comfy, I don't know about you but I walk 10 times better in wedges than any other kind of heel so these were just perfect for me. The material is suede so I'm a little unsure how they'll cope in the lovely British weather but I've already made it my mission to find a spray protector so they stand more chance. I'm usually a size 4/4.5 but I had to get these in a size 5, so I would suggest trying them on in the shop to make sure you get the right fit.

The main reason I love these wedges is cause the vibrant/vivid colour they just stand out and it's a good block of colour to pair with almost anything.  They have a buckle detail on the strap which is gold so again pairing these shoes with gold jewellery will just be a knock-out!! They do have a peep toe but you can only see part of your toes so if your someone that doesn't like to have your toots on show either then I highly recommend these!

I'm so excited to rock up on a night out in these, hopefully it wont be raining but I will keep you posted as to how I get on with them..
